SEVEN
ARROWS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL WHO WE ARE We are an
independent kindergarten through sixth grade elementary school that offers an
innovative curriculum. Our program engages students, speaks to their
broad-ranging curiosities, and encourages creative and critical thinking, as
well as collaboration and initiative. We not only provide a rigorous and
rewarding academic experience for our students, we also nurture their
development as caring and responsible human beings. OUR FUNDAMENTAL
REASON FOR BEING At the core of all that we do at Seven Arrows
Elementary School is our hope for humanity. We want to make a difference in the
world today, beginning with the education of children. We endeavor to make a
positive difference in the world by guiding children to reach their full
academic potential, and preparing them to become strong, contributing members
of the global community. OUR PHILOSOPHY The basic
premise of a Seven Arrows Elementary School education lies in the belief that
the most powerful force in education is a love of learning. We believe that
education is more than simply a gathering and learning of facts. Effective
education must involve a dynamic partnership among teachers, students, parents
and the wider community. Our programs instill in each of our students a deep
and lasting love of learning, the confidence to achieve one's best, and the
knowledge that places one firmly on the road to a life full of purpose, meaning
and endless opportunity. We believe it is vitally important that the primary
impetus for learning comes from within the individual. It is our challenge,
therefore, to organize and structure our programs in such a way as to fully
engage every child. We achieve extraordinary levels of student engagement and
achievement by channeling the innate curiosity, creativity, and boundless
energy of children into an unparalleled enthusiasm for learning. Our goals go
beyond helping our students reach academic excellence. Our diverse,
multicultural community of students, teachers and parents values respect for
self, others and the environment, honesty, integrity, empathy and
responsibility. We share a deep commitment to promoting positive change in the
world through the power of education and the power of our minds. Finally, at
Seven Arrows Elementary, we feel it is imperative that our students develop a
sense of community, both with respect to the school and with respect to the
world around us. We value community and global themes as integral parts of the
learning experience and multiculturalism as one of our cornerstones. That our
community and world are composed of many diverse cultures, and that peaceful
coexistence depends upon mutual respect, are essential elements of what we
believe and teach our students. A UNIQUE EDUCATION
Our curriculum at Seven Arrows is both academically challenging and
developmentally appropriate. We seamlessly integrate various pedagogical styles
to best foster the intellectual, emotional and social development of the total
child. In addition, our programs are infused with a multicultural awareness
designed to engender a global perspective on learning. The result is an
unusually rich curriculum that speaks to the broad-ranging curiosity of
children, encourages creative thinking and promotes leadership. Although many
lessons are taught to the class as a whole, students also work in small groups
and one-on-one, to receive tailored instruction. Children move fluidly in and
out of small ability-based groupings, allowing them to progress as they are
able, rather than through a predetermined timeline. This enables us to match
different learning styles and levels of understanding, ensuring that all
students reach their full potential. Each classroom offers an intimate
educational environment. Class sizes are kept to sixteen children and each
teacher has a full time teaching assistant to promote individualized learning.
The core curriculum consists of reading, language arts, mathematics, science
and history. All students receive regular instruction by specialists in
computer skills, fine arts, drama, music, dance, and physical education. In
addition, Spanish is taught daily at all grade levels. A RARE DEPTH
OF UNDERSTANDING At Seven Arrows, we recognize the importance of
subject matter, but we also place a great deal of importance on how we teach
our students. We make learning at Seven Arrows engaging, interesting and
inspiring. Recognizing the differences in how each child absorbs and processes
information allows us to design each lesson with many different perspectives in
mind. When learning about a culture, such as that of ancient Egypt,
mathematics, science, reading, writing and the arts are all integrated in the
approach. The classroom is set in motion: children breathe history by creating
pyramids or mummies; they live literature by reading stories and translations
of ancient manuscripts or role-playing. They experience culture by eating
native foods, creating art or designing a costume. Units are enriched and
reinforced with field trips and presentations by classroom guests who are
experts on the different subjects. We know that the most powerful and
generative learning takes place when students are engaged intellectually and
creatively, as opposed to being "fed" information. At Seven Arrows, each child
is taught to solve problems, to think critically and creatively and to make
decisions independently. Values and Beliefs
Respect We believe in respecting one's self and
others, property, and the environment.
Responsibility We believe in being responsible,
preparing for school, being attentive, organized, clean, and accountable.
We believe in having self-control. Honesty and Integrity
We believe in being honest, trustworthy, loyal and having
integrity. Fairness We believe in being fair and
just, playing by the rules, and not taking advantage of others.
Citizenship We believe in pursuing the common good,
and being active participants in the community. Empathy
We believe in caring about others, having compassion, being
kind, tolerant of differences, and considerate of the feelings of
others; We believe in love. Pursuit of
Excellence We believe in challenging ourselves - reaching our
fullest potentials in academics, the arts, sports, and the daily challenges
we face.

Pricing >Strategic Pricing
When you decide to sell your home, your next decision is key to the sale--"How much should I ask?" If you ask too little for your home, you could potentially lose money. Asking too much for your home could cause it to sit on the market for a long time.
Your real estate agent wants to sell your home as soon as possible, for the best price. The agent will use a Competitive Market Analysis to determine the price for your home. The sales professional may advise you to reduce the asking price if buyers fail to surface after a certain period of time on the market.
If you are serious about selling your home, you should take your real estate agent's advice. In case the first price reduction doesn't generate a buyer, another reduction may be necessary. The monetary value of a house is only what someone is willing to pay for it, but if the market analysis is done correctly, you will get the maximum amount--and a timely sale.
